Endlessly pursuing the better life together

When two city slickers choose to pull up their nourishment-starved roots and settle down in on a semi-rural 5 acre plot, they are bound to have stories to tell. That is exactly what my Fabulous Man (FM) and I did in the spring of 2012 and here lie the stories.

Thanks for stopping in. Out here, the door is always open (and probably unlocked!) and your company and comments are welcome!

  1. Hi Martha,

I’m enjoying your blog. I spent a week on Vancouver Island a month ago, or should I say between Vancouver Island and the mainland, on a small boat. What a beautiful area…the parts that haven’t been clear-cut yet, that it. I was very disappointed to see how much land is being logged!

It was my first visit to the area, and I definitely want to go back. There were wonderful photo-ops including orcas, humpbacks, seals, sea lions, porpoises, dolphins, bald eagles…

We didn’t see any bears, but they’re probably hard to spot from a boat.

    I sympathize with you on the thistle war. It’s a never-ending battle…
